Ariel

Ul Szeroka and its square offers a variety of Jewish dining, so making a choice on my first night was purely by eye and ear. I was looking for somewhere traditional with a little live music. Ariel was a delight. Arriving in -12C before wind chill, I was immediately offered a rosehip tea with vodka to ‘warm up’; a wonderful start to a fantastic evening.

The food and service were traditional Jewish with a tint towards game: see the menu (http://www.ariel.ceti.pl/?page=me&lan=en), truly sumptuous. I was even offered Kosher Vodka.

Music begins around 8pm and the band were, again, of traditional Jewish origin. Close your eyes and you can just feel the emotion and history of these walls surrounding you. The dining area is small and just adds to the atmosphere. Other venues around the square just did not seem to match.

Truly outstanding.
