- I have been many times in Venezuela; it has many beautiful places: Merida, Canaima, Angel Falls, Coro, Ciudad Guayana, Puerto La Cruz, Playa Colorada (mountains, white sand, palm trees, turquoise water…), Cumana, Colonia Tovar, Chichiriviche… Venezuela has beaches surrounded by mountains, Andes with snow all-year-round, and much more to enjoy

- We were here for the first time in June 2002. We were excited to return to explore this tropical paradise above and below the water. We were able to spend time with old friends and make a few new ones too. We learned some new things about ourselves in the process.

- Description: Considering the world's second-largest oil reserve headquarters is in Maracaibo, assume an ooze of wealth. But in a city of 2 million, where 85% live in poverty, crude interprets everything. With no tourists or Caucasians, no English, and no apprehensions, "finding yourself" in this alien entourage reveals more than you'll ever expect.

- Nestled between the sea and the Andean foothills within Henri Pittier National Park, Puerto Colombia has potential for being the premier hot spot along Venezuela's coast. Unfortunately, there's a mixed bag of agendas! Read the Free Form first to understand why journal content and destination are perhaps lacking.

- Unless planning to head off-shore to the Los Roques archipelago or Margarita Island - both rather costly, Morrocoy National Park is your best bet for decent, convenient beach along Venezuela's Caribbean coastline.Planned itinerary only called for one day of explorations...though I could've stayed and played for much longer.

- Shaped like the profile of a head with a long skinny neck connected to the mainland, the Península de Paraguaná is worth a day of incomprehensible quests if staying in the city of Coro. It's wild and untamed; one of the first but least settled territories of Venezuela.

- Take a journey into the heart of Venezuela's unspoiled Orinoco Delta, a vast system of waterways that weave through the steamy jungle to form one of the largest intact wetlands remaining on Earth.

- Situated on the northern coastal area of the continent, Coro was one of the first settlements developed by the Spaniards. It's charming, simple and with easy access to three National Park areas, this often-bypassed locale could be one of the biggest surprises you weren't expecting to find in Venezuela.
