Posada la Montana is ideally situated for seeing Merida's attractions. Just about anything is within reasonable walking distance: the teleferico, tourist agencies, parks, the center, the ice-cream store, souvenir shops, and bus routes to the airport or bus station.
The posada's staff is friendly, helpful, and eager to please. Rooms have clean bathrooms, TV’s, and nice beds - a good value for the money. We also liked the food at their restaurant.
There was nothing we (nor they!) could do about the roosters that can't get enough of hearing their own voices.
