This beautifully landscaped resort is quite unlike the rest of Jamaica that we saw on our trip. Over twenty acres of lush flowering trees, palms, orchids and manicured lawns provide a natural eden for hotel guests, who may never want to leave for the nearby beach.
The popular tourist attraction in Ocho Rios is the Dunn''s River Falls. Here at the Enchanted Garden you can try climbing their much smaller but no less slippery and dangerous waterfall. A world-class aviary allows you feed the local birds who will come sit on top of your head and nip you if you aren''t so forthcoming with the banana.
There are numerous restaurants at the resort offering different world cuisines. The hotel''s spa offers a thorough line of services and restorative products for sale. A shuttle bus takes you on a oneminute ride across the street to their private mini-marina, where you can swim, sun, or engage in water activities like boating or skiing.
The room itself that we stayed in was quite nice, and we were paying for an economy. Service was alternately good and bad, but compared to another hotel we stayed at in Jamaica this was considerably better. Though the Enchanted Garden does not market their property exclusively to couples like Sandals, it is a very romantic resort destination and my single friend and I felt a little uncomfortable.
