You Can't Go Wrong!

We stayed at the Las Brisas for eight nights, March 15-22. This trip was the best we have experienced in Mexico and this was our 9th. We stayed in the Mer section of the hotel and had a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. There are four buildings in the Mer section, each 3 floors. I would recommend the Bering, Caribe, and Mediterrean bldgs as they all face the ocean or bay. The Pacifico bldg is ok with ocean views but not directly on the water. Rooms in the three other sections (Nubes, Estrella, and Madre) don't have balconies. Included with the room in the Mer section (Las Brisas Beach Club) was a continental breakfast and a cocktail hour at 6 pm. If we ate our dinner at 2-3 in the afternoon we didn't need to eat later as the cocktail hour included a variety of hors deurves. We would take a taxi (40-50 pesos with tip) into Santa Cruz and eat at one of the palapa restaurants or go into Las Crucecita to eat there. The food was excellent at both places especially the seafood. Because these areas are easily accessed you may not want all inclusive at the hotel. We did not eat lunch/dinner at the hotel but service at the hotel was excellent and efficient. The gals who hosted the cocktail hour and breakfast were warm and friendly. Rooms were clean and bathrooms nice.Beds a little hard. There are many steps to walk the beautiful grounds of the hotel but there are shuttles you can access from your room. The tbeaches are.very nice. In my opinion the Brisas is the best placed hotel on the bay as you can find sunshine or shade at the beaches. The views are photo perfect. You can't go wrong here!

it was a bad hotel. there were ants in the room and in the sand. the rooms are very out dated and old. I did not receive the room that was on the pictures at the on line travel website. Everything was over priced and food was not traditional. Also, there were no elevators and the stairs were a killer.

The whole staff, from check-in to check-out was super friendly, rooms are a little far from the lobby, a little cart (golf) has to pick you up from your room so give yourself extra minutes, everything is very clean, the fitness center needs updating but if you really need to work out, that will do it. It takes about 10 minutes to get downtown.

Not up to par for LasBreeses

The bed was so hard it was impossible to sleep. They changed us to another room which was the same. AC barely worked despite their promise "it was fixed." People reserve beach chairs the night before by leaving towels etc. on them, which leave no chairs for the morning. We heard many horror stories of "no toilets for days, sinks which didn't work, etc." We ordered the same thing from room service for breakfast every day for 10 days and never received the same thing or the right things. Huatulco is great, but skip this resort.

We booked this hotel as a pre-destination to our cruise and had all kinds of trouble with Travel agency with the reservation. The hotel didn't have us on the books but were able to accommodate us. We were charged twice and "hoping" for a follow through on their 100% satisfaction guarantee. It's been a mess to get corrected and have really regretted the decision to use them. As for the hotel, it was a beautiful resort. The food was good. The service was great. Very little of the staff spoke fluent English. The rooms were clean, and Mediterranean-ish in style. Beds were not that comfortable. The resort is very spread out and it's almost a must to wait for the "shuttle" staff to make a round to pick you up for dinner, breakfast, etc. The pools were very overcrowded surprisingly with A LOT of kids. Location is gorgeous and would definitely visit again.
