This hotel was amazing. I loved having my boxers at the beach with us. The beach was so close. The best part was the fire pits out along the edge of the bluff. We stayed out for hours. The food was great and cheaper than going to any resturant. I lovedhow secluded the town was. We will stay here every time we g to the beach if we can get it for the great price I got this stay. The staff was very friendly and quick to bring anything you needed. The bed and chairs were very comfortable. This place was so wonderful that i ope to have my wedding, reception and honeymoon here.

Calling it a resort is pushing it?it?s really just a motel?but we had absolutely no complaints. The service was friendly, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean and worked (including the free wifi). It?s right on the coast, with a wide lawn atop a bluff where you can sit and watch the waves come in. At night they light up firepits, and you can sit, keep warm, and listen to the ocean. Even the standard room had a well-stocked mini-bar. We?ve been talking about going back to Hearst Castle to catch the tours we missed, and we?ll probably stay here again.

As a 1930's re-inactor at Hearst Castle, I stop at the Cavalier at least 2 times per month for dinner prior to my performance. On occasion (every couple of months), I spend the night instead of driving 60 miles after an evening performance. Meet people from all over the world at the Cavalier. Great place to stay - everything I need!

This hotel has 2 outdoors heated pools. We hit the pools as soon as we checked in at 8:30pm. It also has 3 outdoor fireplaces looking out to the ocean. The room was clean & nice. The staff was friendly. Our stay was very pleasant.

We stopped in and got a good rate. We didn't have the ocean front rooms because we needed 2 queen beds and the rooms on the bluff were only one King. Even so, the rooms were impeccably clean and roomy with a mini-bar and even a balcony. We could see the ocean right out of our window. The staff is helpful and courteous, the price was good and the fire pits are great. Best stay I've ever had. However, the Cavalier restaurant was awful. Food not so good, waited 45 minutes for our food and waitress brought the wrong food 3 times. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at all.
