Dont reserve online!

We booked this hotel online. Never do that... we booked a king room for a romantic getaway for my husband and I. We have 3 kids so this very rarely happens. We got to the hotel and the lady at the desk said they had lost our reservations. the hotel was booked! Good thing I had printed out my confirmation info. From having this they were able to give us a room.... with 2 full size beds!!!! So much for romance! They said when you book online you have no guarentee of the type of room you will end up with. Great location, sorry service. Not only did they lose our reservation, we had a retarded room with 2 super small beds.

The hotel was great and the service was superb. The breakfast buffet was overpriced but the view during the meal was nice.

Room was OK, on the 7th floor. alot of street noise though, along with emergecny vehicles coming & going. Food & drink prices were way too expensive!!! We went to a coffee shop next door, alot cheaper. I would not go to this hotel again.

Great Location and Amenities!

I did tons of research before selecting this hotel and was very happy with my choice once we arrived in San Francisco. My husband and I stayed four nights (5/8/09-5/11/09) and really loved the location to the cable cars, the F line street car and BART which we took from SFO. It is centrally located for sightseeing tours and shopping in Union Square and Market street with tons of restaurants nearby. I recommend John Foley's restaurant on O'Farrell street for some great oysters and shrimp (we ate there twice) and attentive wait staff. Our hotel room was on the 24th floor with great views of the city including the Civic center building. Our room and bathroom was easily large enough for two people and every aspect of the room was contemporary. It had two double beds which were very comfortable with tons of pillows. We used their business center for free to print our boarding passes for our flight. We opted for wi-fi in the room but it cost us $12.95/day. Prepare yourself for homeless people on the streets of San Fran if you are otherwise not acclimated. Bring some change if you want to help them out.

The hotel was great. Even the construction was not a hassle. I took the advise of some other people on the site and booked the room with a view. It was totally worth it. Everything was very clean, the people were really nice. The one thing that I have to say is that at 3pm when check-in is happening for most people it gets pretty busy in the lobby. I waited for about 30-40 min in line to check in. Not a big deal but I would of probably walked around some more if I knew that so many people were going to be in line at that time.
