In Japan for a short business trip, my company booked me a room in the Cerulean Tower Hotel. Catering to business travelers like myself, it is equipped with all the modern necessities, such as high-speed Internet access.
For some reason, I thought my room would be small, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was actually fairly standard per American hotel rooms, and even large compared to some European accommodations in which I've stayed.
In addition, I loved the modern, simple styling with a few luxury touches. Service was efficient, and I had a great view of the city lights twinkling below my window. I think there was a pool on site, but I did not utilize this amenity.
Also worthy of note is this hotel's location. In the Shibuya area of Tokyo, the neighborhood is trendy and fashionable. I don't mean fashioniable in the Rodeo Drive sense of the word. I mean truly trendy to the hip degree. I was able to buy my wife a very cool, simple hat as a gift in a nearby boutique.
I had a very comfortable stay in this hotel.
