Great location

Great hotel for the price. Centrally located. Ginza was a nice 15 minutes stroll from the hotel. JR rail station was a few minutes walk from the hotel entrance and there are restaurants and great market right next to the station. Didn't try any of the restaurant within the hotel since there are so many reasonably priced ones just nearby. Shinjuku is just few stations away on JR. ( I think it cost just 160 yen or so from Shinbashi) Also this is one of the few hotels in Japan that lets more than two people to stay per room. Room was clean and pretty spacious for Japanese standards. Nicely appointed too !!!!!

DAI-ICHIBAN

By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was absolutely fantastic, especially since virtually the entire staff spoke english. The beds were comfortable, the tv was plasma. The local subway station was convieniently located down the street and every taxi driver we encountered knew the Dai-ichi's location enabling us to travel worry free after hours. I know submitting a 5 star rating seems a bit exaggerated, but this hotel in my opinion deserves 10 stars just from how wonderful my experience was.

Fantastic Service

Stayed there for 9 days in May 2007 and the service at this hotel is fantastic. All of the staff is so courteous and attentive to your needs. Also, the hotel is in a great locations, not far from the Imperial Palace, Tsujiki fish market, and Ginza. Only criticism I have is that the rooms need renovating. Pink carpets in the hallway look worn and doesn't fit with the rest of the decor. The hotel is more suitable for the leisure traveler, not business person. There wasn't much work space in the room to set up your computer and there's no wireless internet service.
