Very Modern Hotel - Good Place to Stay

I was very impressed with this hotel - I found it to be more like a W brand than Westin. It was very modern and had lots of great ameneties. I preferred it to the Sheraton across the street. There is another good option for Starwood properties in Bangkok though, the Royal Orchid Sheraton. I liked the decore better at the Westin, but I thought the Royal Orchid was in a much more interesting location, right on the river where you can jump on a boat to explore some of the best of the city.

I was there for two nights by myself actually. I love the hotel style and plus everything in the room. My favorite is the bathroom is accessible for tV stereo and radio. You won't miss what your movie is happening while relaxing in the tub. Staffs are helpful. I like the private section of internet service, but it is little overprice, however, it is Westin. I enjoyed staying in westin and liked to be close to sky train in walkable distance..! I am looking forward to stay with Westin in Bangkok again.

Great hotel, great service, and great location. Staff was very helpful. The SkyTrain is a short walk away. The buffet and room service food was outstanding. Drinks are overpriced but that is to be expected in a hotel like this. Would definitely stay here again!

The Westin Grande Sukhumvit

This is a nice hotel, hard to pass up Westin's Heavenly bed, and the service is always good. But in Bangkok, I really like the ambiance of the Marriott Resort and Spa on the River. Plus it was priced a little better (better value too). The Westin is a good location, Sukhumvit is "downtown" and shopping is close Emporium (HIGH end western retail) is walking distance and Siam/MBK are a short train ride away. Unique Qualities: Pool was OK, showing a little age. While I was there the Spa was undergoing renovation and was relocated to a suite on a guest room floor. That was very confusing to me, and I kept wondering if it was services "for men only." It was not the best massage I've had in Bangkok, especially at Westin prices.. In-room Internet access was nice (expensive though). The lobby is on the seventh story of the building, so it was private. Website: www.westin.com
