Georgous Views of Sparkling Eiffel Tower

  • July 30, 2008
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
We could see the Eiffel Tower lights come on and sparkle all night. The dinning was horrific in the hotel, the bar was very nice. The staff were very polite and helpful at all times. The bathtub was really nice and large, which is unique for France. It was a short walk to the metro and grabbing a croissant at the little bistro just across the street was much more pleasant and 10 times cheaper than eating breakfast at the hotel. I don't know what the deal was; but for two hamburgers and an iced tea the bill at the hotel was over $* It would have been nice if the burgers were good, but they weren't. They were in the process of renovating the 5th floor when we were there, but it didn't hinder our stay in any way. I would definitely reccommend this hotel for any and all. When we checked in we asked for a room with a view and we certainly received that. Bed was comfly and room was large compared to European standards.

Hilton Eiffel did not disappoint us-incredible from start to finsh!

We arrived in Paris after a lengthy flight to a wonderful group of people that made us feel at home from the beginning to the end. We celebrated our 50th birthdays and 30th wedding anniversary. The staff-especially Audrey, Patrice, Alexandra were exceptionally helpful-drew maps, arranged for a special dinner at th Le Grand Colbert where we sat at the exact table Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson sat during the filming of "Something's Gotta give." The night was incredible as well as the entire stay magical. Besides being known for the "City of Lights", it should be known for the cleanliness, friendly people, and wonderful fragrance. Special thanks to the bellhops and staff. This hotel is clean, very comfortable-we arrrived hom e and started making plans for a return visit w/our daughter and son-in-law next summer. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

A little pricey

This was an excellent hotel for everything except the price. It was close to the Seine and Eiffel Tower as well as subway lines to take you wherever you wished to go. The staff was courteous and proffesional. The food was excellent. It just seemed to be a bit over-priced.

Magical First-time experience

I chose this hotel based on the location/view and it did not disappoint me. I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 and check-in was a snap. The staff was very gracious and spoke English without hesitation and quickly offered me the choice of a room that was immediately available with a great view and in a flash my bags were on the way up. After a quick shower, I stepped out of the hotel, to get a feel for the neighborhood, and there it was... to my right the Eiffel Tower! A three minute walk and you're at the base of the iconic structure. The neighborhood around the hotel is full of brasseries and cafes that were all welcoming to this American tourist. The area was just busy enough to feel safe at all hours of the day and evening without being too touristy. The hotel room had an amazing view of the tower, which made going back to the hotel after long days of sight-seeing a treat. The room itself was of good size and very clean, which is rare in Europe, from what I've read. Unlike some reviews of this hotel, I found the property to be in great condition. I cannot say enough about the great staff at the Hilton Eiffel. Everything combined made for the perfect first visit to Paris!
