Best Value Inn

The only reason I booked this hotel was the proximity to downtown. I had hoped that the reviews were wrong, or at least things were better.
Upon checking at 3pm, we were given keys to a room that had not been cleaned yet . After complaining to a very uncooperative front desk clerk of high school age, we were checked into a different room. The vertical blinds on the big picture window do not close completely, and even though it faces the back of the hotel, people could see in if they wanted to. Do not get undressed in the room with the lights on. On returning to the hotel the next day after a day trip, we found that the maid had not cleaned the room, emptied the garbage, or left fresh towels; we had to ask for them. The room was cleaned one time during our 3-day stay. There was no complimentary ice for our room, we were charged for it. The pool is still broken, obviously not a priority to fix .
Desk clerks were not very friendly, except one, and were generally too busy talking with the hotel manager or smoking outside to actually help us with questions or concerns.

The tile floors were so dirty, when wiping up a spill, the towel was dirty. Stayed 3 nights, never had room cleaned even though I did complain EACH night.

This is an old motel, however it is very clean the staff were vary helpful & friendly. The wireless internet was great, the motel is also on a water front park & is walking distance from Tarpon Springs famous sponges docks I turly had a great visit. This is a good little mom & pop motel where you get what you pay for.
