A beautiful hotel in the center of the Dolomiti Mountains and on the most beautiful Karepass with the extroadinary blue Karersee closeby. Excellent accommodation with very nicely painted furniture and the rooms very romantic.

The only thing missing was a kettle to boil water. Everything else was supplied: cups and saucers, plates, cutlery, and a fridge. Very nice bathroom with hairdryer and even complimentary shower caps.

Best Things Nearby:
The Dolomites Mountain passes ski areas (if in winter). The Rosengarten, Bolzano, many castles, and the best pizzeria (The Kupferkanne).

Best Things About the Resort:
Nice bedroom with furniture painted with flowers. Great views to the mountains!! Undercover parking. Restaurant on-site. Television. Equipped kitchenette with the basics. Only thing short was a kettle or something to boil water with.

Resort Experience:
The mountains and spring flowers inspire one, and I couldn't have chosen a better place and friends to celebrate my 35th birthday with. The timeshare is very luxurious, clean, and well maintained. The only problem was we couldn't speak Italian and there was no communication or brochures in English.

ITALY:
Johann told us they would arrive at 8:20am at Verona Airport so we got up and left Marco Polo at 4am for the long drive to Italy. Beautiful passing Innsbruck again and driving the Brenner Pass (beautiful but very busy with traffic going to Italy’s coast and lots of big trucks that go very fast). We saw castles everywhere next to the road on hills and the most beautiful mountains.

We arrived at Verona Airport at 9am and had to wait another hour for Johann and Hilda (check the travel agent next time Johann!). It was great to see them again after their last visit in South Africa in November 2000.

It took us the best of the rest of the day to get to the Golf Hotel in the Karerpass, Costalunga, where we stayed for six days. It was very warm in the car and the nicest was having a picnic in the middle of Italy with bread, salami, olives, fruit juice, etc. In the Karerpass we came across the bluest lake, the Karersee. Amazing light water, and we took so many photos there.
