I kid you not...this is a candy (and ice cream) lover's dream. This candymaker has been around since 1897 and they have established at least 20 locations around a tri state area. Since I was a kid I have loved their peanut butter meltaways, chocolate covered pretzels and coconut creams. While hand-dipped chocolates have long been their mainstay, you can't beat their ice cream delights either. I was amazed at some of their "twin" specialities. "Railroad Crossing, Fruiti Toot Toot and Strawberry Station" are just some of the delectable items on the menu. These are different versions of sundaes or banana-split type treats. Along with these reasonably priced ($3.95) delites there are floats, ice cream sodas, shakes and at least 28 flavors of ice cream including some I've never heard of or tried; Muddy Sneakers, Century Sundae and Moose Tracks . They all sound like intriguing flavors and I've been told they are quite yummy. Perfect place for picking up a gift to take home to the dog-sitter or neighbor.
