Go to Chateau d'Ouchy, sit, and relax. Take a sip of your first espresso of the day and listen to the tunes. Look at the lake, birds, boats, and mountains as you gather strength for your next quest!
From journal Lausanne (the Overlooked)
Ouchy is a port of Lausanne, a marina, and a beautiful park. Again, it offers a view of the lake and mountains on the French side, but from quite a different perspective. This time, you are not high on some hill looking at lake down below, but instead you are on the edge of the water looking at steep cliffs on other side. During the spring, you can still see patches of white snow on gray and blue rocks. The Swiss side of lake is much more tame and calm with lush green of woods and vineyards that stretch over rolling hills.
Take along relaxing walk and go for a coffee in Chateau d'Ouchy! Come here in the evening on August 1 for a quite unusual fireworks display. It is a national holiday then and each city in Switzerland will have one, but it is only from here that you can see three: one in Ouchy, Montreux, and Lyon!
