Quote: this was the nicest hotel I've stayed at for any price. Not that I've stayed anywhere super-expensive, but I have definitely paid a lot more and gotten much less. Our room was absolutely immaculate, service was flawless, the restaurant (Fire and Water I think it was called) is as good or better than any of the ones we ate at downtown. I can't think of a single bad thing to say. If you're staying in Portland this is where you want to be.

Quote: The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The people at the service desk were helpful, and the rooms as well as the lobby/restaurant were beautifully decorated. I am definately planning to return soon.

Quote: Room was booked for convenience since the conference I was attending was being held there. However, room was the farthest possible from the elevator and dank/musty. Wi-Fi access was a plus although changing the code each day (or thereabouts) was a bit of a hassle.

Quote: Despite making reservations for our honeymoon a month early, we didn't have a room once we arrived in Maine. The staff made up for not having a room that night with a luxury suite for our entire visit, free food, breakfast passes, robes, a case of beer and a bottle of champagne. I LOVE Marriott!!!
