Quote: I was greatly impressed with the Washington Plaza hotel. Check-in staff was fast and efficient, and checked to ensure my room was satisfactory. Bathroom was good size, and very clean. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Quote: Although the room we stayed in (one queen/419) was extremely small, it was fine for one night. The worst part, however, was that we were right next to the elevators and they ran all night long. Very annoying. And the heat kept running and the room was very hot. Otherwise, it was fine and I would stay again.

Quote: The hotel was very nice. The only problem with the room was the security locks on the door, there wasn't one. The subway is quite a walk for the more mature traveler. It ended up being about 4 long blocks which was ok in the a.m. but after a long day plus in the late evening you had to walk past a park and there was quite a few homeless sleeping there. The staff at the hotel left alot to be desired. They were not friendly at all and the door man wouldn't help with our luggage upon arrival. He did finally hold the door open for us!

Quote: This was a nice enough hotel, very clean and we were allowed to check in early. I would not stay there again though, largely due to the location. Three blocks from the Metro doesn't seem like much until you have to drag luggage, etc. Also, the hotel was in Thomas Circle, which means to get to it you are forced to use five separate intersections! If I had been using a car I guess it woould have been better, but the metro is so much cheaper I never rent a car in DC. CVS across the street was convenient. Pool was OK, with a lifeguard on duty. Lastly be careful which direction you walk when you leave the hotel, as if you are not careful you will end up on some dicey side streets which may not be the safest choice.

Quote: Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location for navigating DC. The rooms were on the small side, but didn't spend much time in the room. Free wifi. No 'resort' fee for the pool or exercise area. Just a few blocks to a Metro station and a few more blocks to the Mall. A CVS across the street, plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice restaurant in the hotel. Outdoor pool was very nice and popular with the guests. Great price compared with other hotels in the area. Fee for use of business center. I would stay there again.
