Quote: We just had 5 nights at Aston Paki Maui. The room # 409 ocean front was full of ants, bugs and lizards. When I informed staff they taught me that Hawaii is in tropic region and those are pretty common. I'm from India where the weather is pretty much like Hawaii and I know how the tropic weather looks like. I would expect to have the housekeeping keep the room clean , not just change towels everyday. The staff wanted the guests to inform about ants so that they can spray, but I would expect them to check that. My daugther (2 yr) had lot of boils on her hand and legs due to the bugs and she had bandaids all over her legs and hands. I would definitely not recommend this to hotel to anyone.

Quote: The room was nice and the view was terrific, but we did not like sharing our food and all of the kitchen, dining and living room area with ants and more ants! So my conclusion is Ants and Roaches are still there every other day, sprayed 3 cans of spray from hotel and still did not get rid of them over 16 nights! Oh yeah and I forgot the many Geico's in the room also! I won't go back!!

Quote: The staff was the the only positive I can mention. They were freindly and helpful. The property is run down and over priced. The walls needed painting, the carpet was completely worn out, and the couch was seriously sagging. Our room had roaches and ants and it was BADLY in need of a thorough clean. There were dust bunnies hanging off the wallpaper. In addition, there is no a/c. I believe this would have been fine except our room was angled such that it did not pick up a breeze. In the master bedroom, someone thought it was more important to have mirrors over the bed than the fan, so you could not feel the breeze from the fan even when it was on high. I got almost no sleep the whole time because it was so hot. I do have to say though, that the bed was comfortable.
