Quote: This hotel was located in a great neighborhood with shops, restaurants, and sightseeing venues. Hotel service and on-site restaurant both offered good service and a good value. The only thing was that I would have expected free wifi in the room in DC. This one is a keeper on the A list of choices.

Quote: I stayed at the Beacon with my 2 very young children and had a perfect hotel experience. Every member fo the staff was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The suite was beautiful and spacious, plus the location is excellent. There's free valet parking and the room was very resonably priced. Next time I'm in DC, the Beacon will be my first hotel choice.

Quote: There were teenagers partying in our hallway all night for 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed. We called the management and they did come up to quiet them, however, a couple of hours later we had to call the front desk again. Perhaps they should take into account where the young people are in relation to the older guests.

Quote: The Beacon Hotel is about 3 blocks from DuPont Circle and three blocks from 2 metro stations. It is a small hotel but the room was more than adequate. The servicing of the room was timely and accomodating. We had good breakfasts there ;not included; and a lovely cocktail hour. I would recommend it for the economy minded traveler who is watching expenses but still wants a home away from home.

Quote: Stayed here for a romantic weekend and had an interesting experience. Our room wasn't ready until a half hour after check in time. We did get an upgrade to a suite, but it happened to be a smoking floor, which stunk to high heavens! Do not fall for this "upgrade." The bathroom was old, small, and had no ventilation / fan at all. At check out, their "system was down," so they advised me they would email me my invoice. I am not happy with being charged for something I don't have the chance to review first! I did like that the elevators had to be operated with your room key - extra security! Breakfast / brunch at the restaurant was the only true saving grace for this hotel, we would have chosen another hotel had we have known!
