Quote: The price I got was very good and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel was very clean and well maintained throughout. Room furnishings weren't fancy but looked up to date and nice. The breakfast was above average for the price range of hotel - they had waffle makers and a nice selection of other stuff, plus plenty of tables and seating. The area is great too. Just a few minutes from the GSP airport, lots of shopping alternatives and many restaurants within the same business park, within walking distance. We went to Macaroni Grill, my family's fave. I stayed at the nearby Mainstay Suites on another trip and it was not nearly as nice as Wingate for basically the same cost.

Quote: The staff is exceptional when you can find them. During my 5 day stay the jacuzzi and lobby coffee maker were out of order, the pool was filthy, along with the rug in my room which smelled. Also, the room had not been vacuumed when I checked in. The front desk gave my room number to a friend without hesitation. The continental breakfast was very good untiil the second day, apparently as items run out they don"t get replaced, it dwindled down to nothing by the 5th day.

Quote: The WIngate is conveniently located near the Geenville Spartanburg Airport, but it is horrible. The rooms are run down, the breakfast food is awful, and the hotel staff is inept. In a short two-day stay, they managed to forget to send the shuttle to the airport to pick me up after I called, put me in a room that was already occupied, and billed me twice for my stay.
