Quote: I was happy to arrive after hours of travelling, only after I arrived at the hotel, I was shock to find the secuirty guard at the front desk trying to check some people in that had arrived before me. However he was unsuccessful as I was already tired I waited eagerly until my turn came to chekc in, only for the other agent who they had called out of her bed to tell me that there was no reservation made for me. I was angry, it was late and I was tired. Then after the situation got sorted out she recharged my credit card, so I ended up pay double and my credit card charged me overlimit fee, cause I used a debit card to book this vacation. I am not going back to this hotel.

Quote: My last review must have been deleted but it was not any worse than the others. This place was NOT good for the money. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else. Dirty walls, trash was not emptied. Shady characters ""hanging out"". We stayed only one night after a cruise, and would have definitely changed hotels if we had to stay longer. The staff was friendly. Additionally, they charged us and so had travelocity, so always use a Credit Card and then just go back through them (ours was rectified within a week or two after we got back). As when Travelocity tried to call them to rectify, they could not even get them to answer the phone. To top it off, there was a fire in the laundry room that evening. Not a good place.

Quote: Our first night, we killed HUGE cockroaches just to get out of the room and exchange it for a new and better one. Homestead has no amenities like hotel/motels. For the same price as a Best Western or others of this level, you got NO daily maid service, NO continental breakfast, NO swimming pool, and NO toiletries like shampoo or lotion. If you want fresh towels, you have to take your dirty towels to the front desk (where you have to wait at the door for the staff to buzze you in) and exchange them. You have a small equipped kitchen with micro/stove/refrigerator, but before you leave you are supposed to do your dishes and empty the trash. I can't believe people live here for weeks at $80 a night.

Quote: Would never have thought that a place like this would be listed on online travel ! Bed was indented, bugs in room, hair on floor in bathroom, trash behind night stand and on floor, but most importantly, drugs being sold down the hall! Able to hear the deals as they happened! Not a safe place to take your family!
