Buenos Aires is beautiful, but hotel prices vary drastically depending on the district. Generally, where prices are very low, safety is not ideal. Foreign tourism has boosted hotel prices here. I lived twenty years in Buenos Aires, and would like to share my opinion about this charming city.

I lived twenty years in Buenos Aires. Although I am not very familiar with traditional places like the Boca and San Telmo, I certainly know where to enjoy nature at its best. Being fond of fishing, I went many times to the Tigre (Parana river delta) and other beautiful spots.

Tango dancers in the main junctions compete with loud tango music emanating from the neighboring music shops, short skirts and high heels represent the hopes for a better tip, and nearby barbeque joints add an additional sense to our experience: Argentina’s capital is a constant challenge to all our senses.

I consider myself a part-time resident of Buenos Aires and typically rent an apartment for my stays in the city. However, for those shorter stays, there is an abundance of hotels, independent or brand-name, that offer accommodations for all tastes and budgets.
