In Panama City, Panama, you will see beautiful unplanned landscapes and animals. From the moment you land in the airport, you will know that you are definitely "not in Kansas anymore". The beautiful country is a great place to vacation for both the leisurely traveler and the active one.

The Intercontinental Playa Bonita is 20 minutes from Panama City, opened on December 15, 2006. The place is great, with tasty food. It's also quiet. We had a major bed-flea problem and complained, but nothing much was done.

New restaurant La Posta was the greatest. It had a very tropical feel and was also the place to see and be seen in Panama City. There was a beautiful wood-panelled bar and ceiling fans, and it was in a a private house from the turn of the century. Centollo, a giant crab that they fly in every day from San Blas, was incredible.

Nightlife is cool, bar-hopping is a trend here, and there is also a Panama Canal, which is an engineering masterpiece, and there is a Modern Museum to learn about history and the systems of the Canal.

We accessed the private black-sand beach that was perfect for romantic walks at night. At the resort I could rent jet ski equipment and arrange a jungle tour in a landrover jeep! The best part was the resort was not packed, so it felt like it was all mine.
