Exploring Aviemore

Created by Re Carroll on November 9, 2003

  • Elegant Georgian buildings, heather covered fields, the majestic Cairngorms, and the winding Spey River combine to make Aviemore a place worth visiting. Aviemore is the largest town in the Cairngorm mountain range, and we used it as our base for exploring the highlands.

Two Weeks in Scotland

Created by James Kerr on May 18, 2005

We had rabbits each day outside the siding patio door. The Hilton Hotel had free music each evening in the lounge area.

Scotland in November

Created by lanabanana on May 4, 2004

  • This is an absolutely delightful country and everyone is so friendly. Language was a barrier, but we quickly learned "proper" English. Driving took patience and it took nearly an hour to go 15 miles due to the curvy narrow roads. The sunset came early, which was nice for long leisurely evenings. There were more sheep than people and beautiful photo shots everywhere.
