- From southern Spain, the continent of Africa is just a boat ride away. We took the opportunity, spent three nights, and experienced an eye-opening adventure.

- Both guides were helpful in every respect and our group of 8 pax had a great time. Certainly no criticism of the level of service throughout. We had two guides with us in the end and they were excellent. A many thanks has to go to Nezha Guide/Tour Manager (nezhatour@gmail.com)

- We stopped for one day in Tangier. Prior to us leaving on our cruise, a tour guide was recommended and we emailed her. She was excellant and spoke good English and was much cheaper than the tour offered by the cruise line. She can be reached at nezhatour@theatermail.net.

- At the crossroads of civilisation, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean, Tangier flaunts its magnificent bay below lush green hills. Close by, various excursions can be made, including Cape Spartel, the extreme north-westerly point of Africa, close to the famous Caves of Hercules and Cape Malabata.

- Be prepared to be the center of attention wherever you go - not for the shy - but worth it for pure culture shock. It's difficult to get around unless you hire a driver, but they are not expensive. The food is wonderful and the people are very service oriented. The hotels aren't cheap but everything else generally is on the less expensive side.
