The natural world reigns supreme in this golden slice of paradise! No crowds, just spectacular scenery, wildlife and adventure. You can kayak among seals, tour bird colonies, ride horses along secluded beaches, explore sea tunnels, hike along cliffs or coastal tracks, stay in romantic seaside B&Bs . . .

The ride to the beach at Farewell Spit was a horse enthusiast's dream come true. I rode a responsive mount named Kahn, rode through the mountains to Farewell Spit and galloped endlessly on the beach surrounded by stone arches, seals, it was an adventure right out of The Black Stallion.
