- This off-the-beaten track west of San Juan, is a delight, with a chi-chi resort, prime surfing and no crowds.

- We spent a week in Rincon, PR earlier this year - a great little part of the island!

- We rented a house right on the beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico. We spent a couple days scuba diving.

- This is a family-oriented resort. It is almost a necessity to speak Spanish because the resort is geared to the Mexican travelers. You are in the middle of NoPlace, Mexico, a very secluded area. The food is okay. The ocean is calm and there are sandy bottoms at the beach.

- Local cuisine for rough living--there's a lot more than chi-chi food in Rincon.

- Rincon is perfect not just for surfing, its night life, clubs, hotels and restaurants make this part of the island full of locals and tourists all the time. Punta Higuero beach, close to the lighthouse is the setting for two world surfing championships.
