- We are owners at this resort, however, we had never been there. We found it to be extremely nice with a very helpful staff. The amenities were excellent with pool, exercise room, and game room. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a quiet mountain retreat.

- Boone was a beautiful place in the mountains. It's the first time I've seen snow; it was 15 degrees. I was with all the family, including my grandmother that is 90 years old. You could see the beautiful view from the apartment. Sugar Mountain was great for sking.

- The high country is in the mountains of North Carolina. Our primary purpose of the trip was to go snow skiing. The big four slopes are Sugar, Beech, Ski Hawk, and Appalachian. We went to Appalachian based on the cost and our beginners level of skiing.

- Take the famous Blue Ridge Parkway to its highest elevation in all of northwestern North Carolina. To the folks in this part of the country, this land is known as "The High Country" and my destination is Boone, North Carolina.
