- In the early 90's, business groups approached a couple of Native American tribes in Connecticut about opening up casinos. Since then, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun have offered New Englanders a nice, close alternative to Atlantic City.

- There are two casinos in Connecticut, Foxwood and Mohegan Sun. They are near each other. Mohegan Sun has become almost as big as Foxwood. The casinos are growing in size and elegance all the time and have become a major source of entertainment.
