Mammoth Cave Area

Created by tomandjo on February 17, 2005

  • We took a long weekend trip to the Mammoth Cave area of Kentucky, which was very memorable for the family. Diamond Caverns was a wonderful and informative tour. The kids, ages 7 and 10, enjoyed Diamond Caverns and Mammoth Cave National Park despite the wet weather we experienced.

Like iced tea on a hot day

Created by fleabus on August 8, 2003

  • I have been to this destination several times being a native of Kentucky. This resort and area represent the basic appeal of the state. The atmosphere is laid back, almost lazy. However, you are only a short drive away from the "big city".

Cave City Kentucy

Created by tina Haflett on March 22, 2003

  • Cave City is the hub of all the attractions in South Central Kentucky. Mammoth Cave is the number one attraction in this area. There is also Onyx Cave, Outlaw Cave, Diamond Caverns, Kentucy Down Under, Hidden River Cave, Kentucky Action Park, Guntown Mountain, Horse Cave Theatre, and much more. Go in the fall to see the changing of the leafs over the mountains. The cave tempuratures stay the same year round, so take a jacket. Where shoes that give you good traction. Exlpore the fun parks and enjoy the Natural beauty of this hidden city.
