- Rented a lovely house and had dinner at The Black Cat. Very romantic. We loved it so much the first night we went back the second night. I don't think I could give a higher recommendation.

- For Spring Break we headed south to LA and Disneyland. Rather than taking the very boring I-5 we took the slower 101 and headed off the freeway to see Hearst Castle and the Cambria area. It was well worth the detour.

- Long drives don’t especially thrill me, on the drive from San Francisco to Santa Barbara, we stopped overnight in Cambria. Its a small city just north of San Luis Obispo, along Pacific Coast Highway. Cambria is known for its beautiful beaches, quaint downtown, and proximity to Central Coast Wine Country.
