As a child, I had many vacations on Mustang Island. Of course, I had never heard of Mustang Island, since my parents called the place where we vacationed "Padre Island." My sister and her husband joined my husband and me on this trip to Texas to re-discover places & people from our youth.

Port Aransas is great for swimming, fishing, birding, and eating. It's close enough to Corpus Christi for day trips. There's lots to do here.
