- After a week in Flagstaff, we chose to spend our final Arizona weekend in perhaps one of the most beautiful communities in Northern Arizona. We were blessed with perfect spring weather.

- Touring the national monuments of Montezuma Castle, Well and Tuzigoot I too was fascinated by the enigma of the long-departed Sinagua tribes. Perhaps they foresaw the coming of vortex tour groups, Hummer drives in the desert and strip malls and realized that escape was the smart thing to do.

- This trip was born out of my desire to sleep in a concrete wigwam on Route 66. Everything else was icing.

- The small town of Sedona is set right in the middle of Red Rock Country. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by magnificent views.

- On a high desert road trip taking I-17, we sidetrip onto SR89 near Flagstaff, traversing switchbacks and heading down Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona, Arizona. Where are we? North Carolina to a painted desert in only a few miles! The fun only begins!

- I LOVE Sedona. There are so many great places to eat and so much to see and BUY. Take a Pink Jeep tour or fish in Oak Creek.

- This was our first trip west, and we loved it. Arroyo Roble is very well located in upper Sedona, within walking distance of the shops. We will definitely return some day, as there was more to do than we could fit into 1 week.

- With magnificent Sedona as a base, we found that there is much more in northern Arizona than can possibly be done in a week. Yet, there is so much diversity that there is something for everyone. This is the best place to experience the American Southwest!
