Historical Charlottesville

Created by nilgun on June 23, 2002

  • Charlottesville was home to two US presidents, Jefferson and Monroe and the city prides its history. Before moving here, as expected of a foreigner, I was ignorant about the founding brothers. Charlottesville inspires one to learn more about the early American history.

Courting Charlottesville - The Sweet Life

Created by Karin Leperi on March 13, 2002

  • Charlottesville offers character, charm, and sophistication for the traveler, coupled with peaceful serenity for the soul. Vintage and vineyards add sparkle to romantic get-aways - great for rekindling the flame of love. Dreary Mountain Hamlet with High Rent

Created by Zooey Glass on March 26, 2006

  • Charlottesville aspires to be a small-town New York or Boston. With few cultural amenities, crowds choking all major roads most of the day, and driving up housing costs, Charlottesville more closely resembles New Haven, Connecticut, minus the proximity to important cities, or Modesto, California, minus the good weather.
