South Lake Tahoe in Summer

The weather was in the upper 70s by day and low 40s at night. We enjoyed horseback riding, kayaking, and snowball fights in the hills. The Stardust-Tahoe Resort is located in the perfect spot - close to casinos and shopping but also close to Tahoe's glorious greenery.

This past Sunday, Kirkwood had 30 inches of light and fluffy powder. It snowed the whole day, so I cut fresh tracks on every run. Everyone on the hill was smiling because of the incredible conditions.

Great conditions at Heavenly. This was my first time at this resort and despite the lack of FRESH snow, the weather and snow was wonderful.

Heavenly was unbelievable. The previous week, they had 8 feet of snow, and when we got there, it began again. With more than 5 feet in 3 days, the boarding was incredible.

A beautiful, mostly sunny day. Mott and Killebrew were wonderful, with some uncut left a day after the powder day!

You Must Go to Tahoe!

Tahoe is an easy-to-reach, all-seasons destination. Great seasonal snow and waterskiing, casinos, great food, and fun nearby. We went for late spring skiing and enjoyed three different mountains, even though Heavenly was closed! The huge lake and alpine setting are gorgeous! You must go!
