10 Days and 9 Nights of Caribbean Cruising

My mom, aunt and I took our annual cruise, this time, to the Eastern Caribbean. Even with some small inconsistencies we enjoyed the different ports, the humongous ship and our marvelous suite. It was 9 nights of food, fun and family.

A quick getaway on this mega ship was just what the doctor ordered. Three days at sea, and non-stop activity made for a memorable family vacation. My grandson loved the Basketball, Rock climbing and Ping Pong tournaments. We visited St Maarten, Coco cay and St Thomas.

It was our virgin cruise on a grand old maiden---the SS Norway. Although she was several decades old, she still had its luster and ambience about her. Our voyage was to the Eastern Caribbean. We went to St. Martin, St. Thomas/St. John, and Great Stirrup Cay.

We've always enjoyed the cruise to Bermuda from New York because of the day at sea at both ends. The Rotterdam offered a longer cruise all the way to the Caribbean and a few interesting ports, so we jumped aboard.

Why would anyone want to escape to the Southern Caribbean in February? If you wintered in the great Northeast this winter, it's a mute question...over 120 inches of snow and still counting. Survival was uppermost in our minds and SUN the main attraction.
