- "Up North" Wisconsin has some of the best vacation spots around. Cable and its neighbor, Hayward, are fantastic towns to escape and relax for a weekend!

- We were in a beautiful wooded setting, with lots of good places to eat nearby and at the resort. The resort is more geared to winter activities, like cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc.

- This was a quiet, peaceful winter retreat. There aren't too many activities to keep you busy, but if you are looking for a quiet place to get away, enjoy some winter sports, and be in the midst of plenty of nature, this is the place for you!

- To celebrate a 40-something birthday we spent a week enjoying cross-country skiing during the day and eating at many good restaurants at night. Having a two to three foot base and six inches of new snow while we were there added to a perfect week away.

- This was our first experience with this resort. It's a great outdoor experience for the hiker. It is also the site of the world championship bike race.

- If you enjoy the outdoors, Cable has a lot to offer. In the summer, enjoy mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and golf. In the winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. Cable is also a good home base for interesting day trips. Give it a try!

- The golf course is fabulous. It challenging for all levels of golfers and the price was right -- $25 for 18 holes, including a cart. The condos were a bit run down, but they had full kitchens and laundry facilities. Plenty to see and do in the area, especially at the state parks.
