DeSoto is an old mining town about 40 minutes from the St. Louis river front. You can stay at TimberCreek Resort and enjoy St. Louis, or you can visit the old mine that is now a world class dive site for cave divers. I'll talk about some of the lesser known things to do in the area.

Very nice place if you are taking a family. Five-hole exec par 3 course, outdoor pool, nice mini golf course, rec center - all of which are free.

The resort is 20 minutes outside St. Louis, MO. It was a refreshingly enjoyable getaway that my family traveled to just to take a break. The resort has a rustic feel, and a very hospitable and welcoming staff. The atmosphere of the resort is also very relaxing and tranquil.

Nice and quiet resort outside of St. Louis, Mo. Would recommend this resort for future stays. Activities for kids where plentiful with a five hole golf course for the adults. We enjoyed our stay in Missouri. We plan on coming back this way again in the future.

Desoto is nicely located so you can enjoy all the activities in the area while staying in a relaxing and friendly resort. St. Louis has something for everyone and short trips along the Mississippi River or the Ozarks expand your vacation.

This is a lovely and relaxing resort away from the busy city life. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was big and comfortable. There was lots to do or to just relax.

My husband and I visited Silverleaf's Timber Creek resort in Desoto, Missouri with our two dogs. We visited St. Louis and Six Flags and enjoyed the resort amenities.
