Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is the town of Helen, Georgia. This town, begun in the 1940's, has an alpine theme to it. I want to describe some of the dining areas and activities that I enjoy.

This quaint German Town has so much character. I learned the local population is only of around 700 people. But on the weekends look out! Oktoberfest is where I want to go this year.

This summer, my family took a road trip from New Jersey to Georgia. We made a stop in South Carolina to attend a wedding. I can tell you, as of right now, that we had a relaxing time, even with six people traveling in a minivan!

The northern Georgia mountains are beautiful and often less crowded than other parts of the Appalachian chain. Tucked away is a little Alpine village called Helen.
