- If you're looking for a relaxing week from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the Clube Praia da Oura is definitely NOT the place for you.

- This was my first visit to Portugal, and I loved it. It's a superb country to visit any time of the year. The Montechoro was a Gold Crown but lost the rating, and it's not hard to see why. The reception and bar look like they have recently been refurbished, but sadly, the rooms haven't. They're clean and comfortable but a little tired; they need to be sorted out, and quickly. Bulbs are blown and we had a cracked sink, different-shaped spotlights in the bathroom, and a shower that had a mind of its own!

- The Algarve retains its appeal with a beautiful coastline and lovely beaches. A disappointing apartment at Clube Praia da Oura, however, did not help what was otherwise a pleasant and relaxing stay.

- This was the first of two weeks in the Algarve. First-time visitors to the area, we were not disappointed. There was great weather all through and lots to do.

- Our first international exchange sent us to the beautiful Algarve region of Portugal. We experienced perfect weather, breathtaking scenery, and a resort that matched our every desire: the Clube Praia da Oura. This first week of our month abroad left us rested, tanned, and ready for England and France.
