- Corpus Christi has long been a special place for Texans to play, fish, swim, and boat. Advantages to visitors include reasonable prices, a long season for water activities, and very nice residents. Hurricane Rita missed by a couple hundred miles.

- We toured the state capitol, LBJ Museum, Bob Bullock Museum, spent a night in New Braunfels and at Canyon Lake at the Silverleaf Resort, toured the Alamo, saw the IMAX movie about Alamo and the 3-D documentary about the Titanic, did the Riverwalk, and then departed for home.

- Our family took a one day road trip form San Antonio to Corpus Christie and Mustang Island. It was awesome I can't wait to someday go back.
