We stayed at the Sheraton Mountain Vista Resort and had a fabulous time! The weather was a perfect at 70 to 76°F every day, with crystal-clear air. We hiked, rafted, "ATV'd," and horse-backed our way through the mountains and valleys!

First, don't stay at the Christy Lodge. It is a dump: leaky roof, very small accommodations, uncomfortable bed, outside door allowed the cold air in, microwave broke, shelf in partial kitchen broke, fan in bathroom broke, no ski storage, horrible, horrible. Vail skiing and scenery were great. Enough said.

We have skiied many places and decided to give Avon and Vail a try. We drove from Texas, and we were really glad to finally arrive. The Christie Lodge where we stayed was easy to find. It was on the shuttle run to the mountain in Avon and also to Vail, just a few minutes away. We enjoyed skiing both mountains, and really liked the "ski village" feel of Vail. Enjoyed great food at both palces and would love to go back. Sevice on the mountains at both places were incredible.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Mountain Vista. Accommodations were very nice with great amenities--several pools, hot tubs, steam room, sauna, and exercise room. Just a few miles from Vail and Beaver Creek. Hope to return for another week.

We enjoyed an entire week of skiing in the Vail Area. My family skiied for three days at Beaver Creek, which is about two miles from Avon. We skiied two days in Vail (about nine miles away) and one day in Keystone (40 miles from Avon).

The Christie Lodge was a nice place to stay. It had a great location, an indoor/outdoor pool, an adult whirlpool, and lots to do nearby. The Christie Lodge is a comfortable, safe and friendly location.

We stayed at Kristy Lodge in a three bedroom Apt. The atmosphere was beautiful during this time of year. the air was clear and agreed with our allergies. The mountains were just beginging to allow their trees to turn into autumn colors.
