- Captiva is one of many barrier islands off the coast of Southwest Florida. Although it's an enclave for the(very)well-off, Captiva manages to maintain a ramshackle island charm. With beautiful white sand beaches, abundant wildlife, lots of restaurants and gift shops, Captiva has something for everyone.

- Our most recent stay at Captiva was for our wedding, and we could not have had a better time. The weather and scenery were perfect.

- To experience a sunset so breathtaking that an entire island stops long enough to watch---a shared silent moment---before erupting in applause.

- A week-long vacation on Captiva Island with plenty of beach trips, boat rides, margaritas, and fish sandwiches.

- Sunny skies and sandy beaches - that's what I call a vacation.

- We rented a private family home with a pool, which was absolutely great. It truly was a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The beach and sunsets are amazing, and the food is excellent. We are looking forward to the next trip back!

- Great destination for family and friends. Beautiful and many things to do. Safe, clean, and several restaurant choices. Loved it.

- Captiva Island is probably the most relaxing place I've ever been. I went with some people I worked with and we stayed at the beach most of the time. It had the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen as it looks like the sun falls into the ocean.

- We own a timeshare in November at the Plantation Beach Club. We traded for a July week so the kids could join us. This was the tail end of a scuba vacation in the Bahamas.
