- Three meals and an afternoon on the plaza was all I had time for on this quick trip to Ajijic.

- Ajijic is a small town on the shores of Lake Chapala in the state of Jalisco. As usual, I spent my vacation eating. There were a surprising number of places from which to choose.

I had to seen (and feel) it to believe it. The weather, of course. Ajijic (pronounced Ah-Hee-Heek) is a sleepy Mexican village located at the edge of Lake Chapala, one of Mexico's largest natural lakes, has one of the best climates in the world.

- Ajijic, located on the north shore of Lake Chapala, is perfect for relaxation as well as for great fun. Much depends on WHEN you go...as well as what you're looking for when you get there. Huge public parties? Dining out? A snooze in your B&B's sunny patio? It's all here.
