Thunder Bay's Amethyst Mine Panorama lets the public in to mine for their own amethysts. It was a favorite stop on my Ontario road trip.

Thunder Bay is a great place to explore western Ontario. Close to nature and many scenic areas, yet has the amenities a small city can offer.

After following along the quiet shoreline of the North Shore of Lake Superior, which took in mile after mile of water views, we entered the very large busy city of Thunder Bay.

This is a beautiful city that overlooks the Sleeping Giant, a huge peninsula in the shape of a reclining giant. There are panoramic views from Hillcrest Park and Mt. McKay. Experience the voyageur life at Old Fort William.

A few friend's and i took a road trip to Thunder Bay, Ontario, there are many National Parks to see, the Great Lakes, and one of my favorites to see was the Northern Lights. I've never seen anything so beautiful during my vacation there and definitely will be returning .
