This Vancouver, B.C., trip was a splendid one! My group of three all shared their ideas of what she wanted to do. Hence, it was going to a tattoo parlor, staying at a B&B, and seeing the city highlights of Vancouver. Therefore, we had a hodgepodge type of a vacation.

Vancouver, BC, has a lot to offer, from scenery to stylish shops in the downtown locale to various sporting opportunities, like sailing and skiing. Occasionally, though, it is overlooked for its fine eats, drinks, and entertainment. Therefore, when you are here, give this destination a whirl for these things.

Vibrant Vancouver beckoned for the 2004 IGOUGO meeting. I attended to pick up a most welcome, but unexpected award and meet friendly guides and staff I’d corresponded with and revisit after 28 years. Tall order to fill for an all too brief 3 nights, I’ll say. The upshot? Indelible memories!

Vancouver's natural beauty is reflected in its buildings of glass and steel, in the surrounding waters, and in the kindness and civility of its people.

Summer comes to Texas and I begin to plan an escape to Canada. Vancouver has my vote for the best (and easiest) big city to visit in the entire world. Nice people, easy transportation, beautiful scenery, great food and wonderful hotels in all price catagories.

Vancouver seems to me like a Canadian version of Seattle, with a bit of San Francisco and Hong Kong thrown into the mix. These are all cities that I like, so that makes Vancouver a tasty concoction. Looking ahead, Vancouver will host the Winter Olympic Games in 2010.
