- We took a getaway for just the weekend. We needed a break from the holidays, and the Villages was the place for my family to just get away. It was cosy and wooded and away from everything.

- The Villages is a great place to get away. If you like pine trees and fishing, this is a great place. The people are very friendly and helpful. Canton is close and they have a great first Monday trading.

- The scenery and weather was great. There was lots to do--fishing, hiking, sightseeing, boating, swimming, etc. We went to the Caldwell Zoo one day, a very nice zoo, and it's even free! We spent an entire day on Lake Palestine and the kids loved that.

- Little Italy Resturant on S. Main St. in Tyler, TX, is a great family run restaurant that specializes in various homemade soups.
