South of Houston, it is usually hot and sunny. With the waters of Galveston Bay at hand, there are all sorts of delightful activities. Enjoy the sea and eat the seafood, as it is fresh and available in all price ranges. It is a family destination and fun for all!

As a 15-year resident of Houston, I will include details on the best hotels, restaurants, day spas, shopping, and nightlife; the areas, like west Houston, southwest and northwest Houston, the Galleria Area, the Museum District, Montrose (gay- and lesbian-friendly), Katy, and Pasedena. I will also include the Texas Medical Center and the most lavish hotels to celebrate New Year's Eve.
