A week at Nuevo Vallarta Mayan Palace

The Mayan Palace is a resort with everything a resort could offer, but it is too large and spread out for my taste, and the architecture is too contemporary and plain for my taste. It didn't have any traditional Mexican warmth.

The weather was around 83 degrees with slight humidity. You can expect the water to be cold and the temperature of the pools are very cool as well. Nuevo is very relaxed and laid back compared to Puerto Vallarta.

We spent time at Grand Velas in NV. It is truly a 5-star resort. Service, food, accomodations and grounds were perfect. The pools were nice, warm and very well maintained.

My week at the Grand Mayan was very relaxing - the only negative comment concerned the timeshare presentation.
