- Dunedin is a Scottish city in the southern hemisphere. The architecture, weather, and coastline all remind me of Edinburgh. The city offers several interesting excursions and we found it to be an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.

- A fifth of Dunedin's population is students. After living here for three years, I know the best places to get cheap food and things to do that don't cost too much.

- This was a short break to explore Dunedin and surrounds. We saw sights including Lanarch Castle and Taieri Gorge Railway. They were both well worth a visit.

From Dunedin, I took a day tour visiting the Otago Peninsula.

- I intended to stay in Dunedin (Celtic for Edinburgh) for 2 months to earn some money, and eight months later I'm still here! A pretty town with a lot of character, some great cafes and restaurants, and the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen...

- Dunedin is deceptive, it looks small but is actually a bustling city with a major university. A short drive takes you to the Otago penisula where you can see penguins and albatrosses.

- A job offer took me to a place not many people have heard of and fewer get to visit. You might be dissapointed you haven't.
